OMG - Day 15 - Monument Valley

What a great day! We left the Holiday Inn at Kayenta - not a good hotel!! but we made our way up to Monument Valley with great expectations. They paid off. We did the whole bit, 17 miles on the dirt track complete with holes and bumps. (don't tell the hire company?) Rocks were very Wild West, really good, took loads of pictures.

After lunch we made our way North towards Arches.

On the way we saw some people swimming in a lake so we went there too. It turned out to be Recapture Resevoir in Utah. Full of fresh water cray fish. Chris jiggled a stone and out one came, it was huge (how big do they grow?) this one was 5 to 6 inches. We needed the swim to get rid of the dust. What a Country, when it's 90 degrees, you can just pull up, jump into a fresh water lake to cool off!

Quite a few miles up the road we came across Wilsons Arch, it really was beautiful, huge and smooth. About 100 foot up above the road - so we climbed up and again took loads of photos. I know we're going to see many of them tomorrow but this one was special. See for yourself.....
