On the way to Las Vegas

We had some fun on the way to Las Vegas, back on Route 66!

Seligman have really embraced 'The Theme', we took some real fun photo's!

Then we went off into the back country looking for a ghost town marked on the map as Goldroad, the road was very winding and narrow - a very different Route 66! We nearly gave up but eventually got to a town called Oatman, just as they were finishing the mid-day shoot out! The town has nearly all the frontages from the early 1900. There were loads of donkeys walking around in the town and apparently when the gold mine closed down in the 30s, the donkeys were given special privileges and are allowed to roam free.

We then went on over the Hoover Dam which was a little bit disappointing for me and Mike as we remembered it being bigger! or were we smaller???

We got into Las Vegas about 3.30pm we had a walk around but had to come back because my legs were hurting - not just the knee but muscle strain from the walk in the canyon!
